Grenada’s government has announced a wide set of amendments on its citizenship by investment program.  This program has undergone extensive modifications in its terms and requirements in the last 6 months than any other citizenship program. After assigning Thomas Anthony as a new head for the CIU for Grenada in September 2018, the amendments of the citizenship by investment act were initiated. He also imposed new procedures for property transactions, including achieving  documentary requirements to avoid illegal discounting experienced in similar programs in the region, as well as the following amendments in favor of the investor and included dependants in the application:

  • he children of the main applicant or the spouse in the application  between the ages of 18 and 30 and are fully supported by their parents.
  • Include children of the main applicant or spouse who are at least 18 years of age, who are physically or mentaly challenged, and are fully supported by their parents.
  • Include parents/grandparents of the main applicant or spouse who are above or below the age of 55 and are fully dependant on them.
  • A new regulation is added regarding including siblings of the main applicant, who are unmarried and above the age of 18.
  • The possibility to include children of the main applicant or spouse if born within 12 months of grant of approval.

Grenada is now offering the chance for investors, businessmen, and all individuals wishing  to obtain dual citizenships which enables them to enjoy many benefits including the possibility to visit 143 visa-free countries including China and Russia, through the Grenada Citizenship by Investment program.
